Backup - How to clone HD to a smaller size EaseUS Partition Master Free 10.5

I got a new laptop that came with a  hdd that I would like to replace with a 256 GB. SSD.

To recreate recovery and restore partition to new HD I used EaseUS Disk Copy Home

http://download.easeus.com/free/EaseUS_DiskCopy_Home.exe

The problem was due to differents HD sizes that gave error size mismatch with CloneZilla and RedoBackup

it's free and will clone and resize. get it here: http://www.easeus.com/disk-copy/home-edition/ It will create a bootable usb stick or CD-Rom..... I've used it many times and gets the job done... and it's free.

1. Download software EaseUS Partition Master Free 10.5  (that helps to resize partition too)

2. Run program and make bootable media of your choice.

3. Connect "new" drive to laptop to be cloned with a USB drive adapter, ie external drive enclosure.

4. Boot laptop with the media you made, USB stick or CD.

5. With software running, select "source drive, laptop drive" and destination drive "ssd on USB adapter".

 6. Let software do the work.... follow it's instructions.
