Software installation errors and misconfigurations compromise security and stability, resulting in escalated support costs. The System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Configuration Pack can help prevent errors, increasing your organizational uptime and helping you build a more secure and reliable Configuration Manager 2012 infrastructure. This Configuration Pack contains Configuration Items intended to manage your Configuration Manager 2012 site system roles using the desired configuration management component in Configuration Manager 2012. This configuration pack monitors the following site system roles: management points, site server, and software update points. The Configuration Pack can also monitor Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) components on software update points or upstream WSUS servers. To manage your site system roles with this Configuration Pack, import and assign the Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Server Roles configuration baseline to a collection which contains your Configuration Manager 2012 site systems. While there is one configuration baseline for all site systems, it evaluates compliance only for roles configured on the site system. For example, if a computer has only the management point role, it will not be evaluated for software update point configurations. To understand in detail what each configuration item will be evaluating, review the properties of that configuration item in the context of the Configuration Manager 2012 Server Role being addressed.

System Center Configuration Manager 2012 site roles covered:

  • Management points
  • Site server
  • Software update points

Supported operating systems: Windows 8 Release Preview, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2
Same as System Center 2012 Configuration Manager requirements. Prerequisites for Configuration Manager can be found at: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=252950.
For details on what is supported in System Center 2012, see
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=255218.

set logonserver=Domain Controller name

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog

Tips - Disable l'IPV6 on Vmware Virtual Machine

Start --> CMD e digitare

netsh Interface 6to4 set state state=disabled

e poi

netsh interface isatap set state disabled

Vedere anche il seguente articolo:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932520/e…

<------>

I found that ipv6 was still active after unchecking it on server Lan Settings.

Problem was due to 6to4 and isatap adapter.

Here they are commands used and relative article:

  1. Premere Alt+F1
  2. Digitare unsupported (non si vene niente)
  3. Mettere al password i root
  4. vi /etc/inetd.conf

http://blogs.technet.com/b/keithmayer/archive/2012/09/07/getting-started-with-hyper-v-server-2012-hyperv-virtualization-itpro.aspx

Segnalo anche che:

  1. Live Migration! Configure and use Live Migration between non-clustered Hyper-V Server hosts (aka Live Migration Shared Nothing)
  2. High Availability! Use Server Manager to remotely install the Failover Clustering feature and use the Failover Clustering Admin Tool to remotely configure your cluster.

  1. Configuration tab.
  2. Select Virtual Machine Startup / Shutdown under Software.
  3. Click Properties in the upper right hand side of the window.
  4. In order to be able to configure any options, enable Allow virtual machines to start and stop automatically with the system.
Per Vmware 3.x:
  1. Log into the client and select an ESX host from the inventory.
  2. Click the Configuration tab.
  3. Under Virtual Machine Startup/Shutdown, configure your virtual machine startup options, as required.

Programma - Debug Diagnostic Tool v1.2

The Debug Diagnostic Tool (DebugDiag) is designed to assist in troubleshooting issues such as hangs, slow performance, memory leaks or fragmentation, and crashes in any user-mode process. The tool includes additional debugging scripts focused on Internet Information Services (IIS) applications, web data access components, COM+ and related Microsoft technologies.

The Debug Diagnostic Tool (DebugDiag) is designed to assist in troubleshooting issues such as hangs, slow performance, memory leaks or memory fragmentation, and crashes in any user-mode process. The tool includes additional debugging scripts focused on Internet Information Services (IIS) applications, web data access components, COM+ and COM+ related Microsoft technologies, Sharepoint, and .NET framework.

  • DebugDiag 1.0 was released as part of the IIS Diagnostic Toolkit and as a standalone tool (x86 only).
  • DebugDiag 1.1 was released as a standalone tool only (x86 and limited x64 support).
  • DebugDiag 1.2 is currently available as a standalone tool only (x86 and full x64 support).

DebugDiag provides an extensible object model in the form of COM objects and provides a script host with a built-in reporting framework.

It is composed of the following 3 components: a debugging service, a debugger host, and the user interface.

The Debugging Service The debugger service (DbgSvc.exe) performs the following tasks:

Attach/Detach the host to processes
Collect performance monitor data
Implement HTTP ping to detect hangs
Inject leak monitor into running processes
Collect debugging session state information
Shows the state of each rule defined

The Debugger Host The Debugger Host (DbgHost.exe) hosts the Windows Symbolic Debugger Engine (dbgeng.dll) to attach to processes and generate memory dumps. It also hosts the main analyzer module to analyze memory dumps. Dbghost.exe has no dependency on the service “DbgSvc.exe” and can be used separately. The User Interface The user interfaces (DebugDiag.exe and DebugDiagAnalysisOnly.exe) present an interface to analyze memory dumps, automate the creation of control scripts and to show the status of running processes, including services. It is composed of 3 views:

Rules: Creates control script for the debugger host through a wizard. The script is located under the directory \scripts.
Advanced Analysis: Runs a selected “Analysis Script” against one or more memory dumps.
Processes: Shows status of running processes/services.
Note: DebugDiagAnalysisOnly.exe does not require privilege elevation on operating systems beginning with Windows Vista, so it only contains the Advanced Analysis view.

Supported operating systems

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 2003
  • Windows XP
  • Windows 2008-Windows Vista
  • Windows 2008 R2
